National Horticultural Research Network

The National Horticultural Research Network (NHRN) was established in 2001 and comprises the Horticultural R&D managers from the State Departments of Primary Industries, CSIRO and the Tasmanian Institute of Agricultural Research. NHRN works primarily with Horticulture Australia Limited (HAL) and also consults with Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation (RIRDC), Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) and Grape And Wine Research Development Corporation (GWRDC) to develop improved efficiency and effectiveness of Horticultural R&D delivery. A key ongoing role for the NHRN is the implementation of the National RD&E framework for Horticulture, with a focus on collaboration and strategic leadership for R&D to support viable horticulture industries in Australia.
